About The French saturday school
Founder and Head Teacher: Nathalie Filiol
After a masters in law and few years as a lawyer in France, she decided to become a teacher. She taught 15 years in famous private schools in Paris; where rigorous, methodical, and high quality education are a standard.
Her experience and passion for teaching made her develop her own teaching method at the French Saturday School, in accordance to the ethic and the exigency of the Éducation Nationale program in an international context. She teaches, prepares and coordinate all the lessons and homework, working closely with the other teachers. She has a personal knowledge of each student in the school and works closely with the families and students to reach the student’s highest potential.
Our teachers are authentic and native, and are not just French speaking. Instead they are highly motivated individuals who either taught in France or are currently teaching in an American university as a French teacher. We provide a high sense of education: teaching the language at the best level is a must, but also working with the students on their social behavior. Our teachers follow and instill values like respect, compassion, ambition, a sense of effort, honesty, and critical thinking. All our teachers are extremely dedicated to children and our mission; to develop the student at their best level of potential and excellence.
Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives – choice, not chance, determines your destiny. ~ Aristotle
